Leading and following

Leading and Following invites paired participants to explore the delicate balance between control and surrender. With hands placed one atop the other, the “leader” guides their partner through space using subtle pressure and intention, while the “follower” responds in real time, holding energetic tension. This exercise cultivates trust, responsiveness, and creative agency—where both roles become active, improvisational, and co-creative. As the participants switch roles, they embody the fluidity between guiding and being guided, offering a powerful exploration of interpersonal dynamics, leadership, and mutual respect within an artistic context.
