Visually responding to movement

In Visually Responding to Movement, participants are paired and invited into a silent, intuitive dialogue—one partner moves, the other responds using colour and gesture on paper. Through this exercise, participants practise holding space for one another, cultivating attentiveness, and responding creatively in real time. This practice encourages non-verbal communication, empathy, and receptivity while generating visual material that can inform future creative explorations. It also reinforces the relational nature of art-making and supports deeper interpersonal connection through playful, process-led improvisation.
